Raising Writers Blog

Helping home educators raise writers who are ready when it counts.

Hi, I'm Alicia Brown

I'm a mother of four, homeschooling veteran, and former corporate recruiter who spent the last decade coaching over 1,000 students to write in a way that opens doors.

I've graduated three of my own children — one with a full ride to college. My students have been published nationally, won writing competitions, and grown into communicators who know how to make people stop and pay attention.

Most of them didn't start out liking writing. Maybe your student doesn't either.

That's exactly why this blog exists.

Practical tools. Real student examples. Honest encouragement for the parent who is showing up every day and wondering if it's working.

It's working. Keep going. I'm cheering for you.
