You’ve bought the books — but you’re still the one trying to figure out what to do next.
You’ve tried programs — but you’re still piecing lessons together, hoping your child “gets it.”
You’ve got motivation — but your writing routine is inconsistent, your child resists assignments, and progress depends on how much energy you have left each day.
The curriculum looks great on paper. But in real life, it’s unfinished assignments, unfinished paragraphs, and tears over every rough draft.
As a homeschool mom of four, I know what it feels like to give your best — and still wonder if you’re doing enough. Writing can feel like the one subject that never quite sticks, no matter how many programs you try.
I’ve been there. I know the frustration of long writing days, endless corrections, and trying to motivate a child who’s already checked out. That’s why I built Foundations™ — to give homeschool moms structure, strategy, and support, all in one place.
Our students’ results speak for themselves:
three IEW award winners — 1st place in Public Speaking, and 2nd & 3rd place in the 2025 IEW Writing Contest — plus over 30 published student essays in national publications.
I’m also a certified writing instructor, former corporate recruiter, and homeschool mom with three graduates — one who received a full ride to college.
Because at this stage, you don’t need more curriculum.
You need structure, coaching, and community.
That’s exactly what Foundations™ was built to deliver.

" I am a 13-year-old boy and Mrs. Brown has been my writing teacher for the last 2 years. After being a student with Mrs. Brown, I feel encouraged and writing has actually become something I enjoy. This year, thanks to my fantastic tutor, I developed a love for writing and I'm actually writing a book over the summer. " - Cale, Student

The Foundations Program is built on our signature 3CR™ Approach:
Curriculum – We use IEW’s proven Structure & Style® method to build strong, skilled writers one lesson at a time using a mastery-based approach.
Community – Because curriculum alone is not enough, we offer an exclusive online community for enrolled families. Parents and students have 24/7 accesst to other liked-minded families for extra support.
Coaching – We provide coaching to students through our weekly writing classes. Every month, we offer parent huddles to provide support to parents.
When curriculum, community, and coaching are leveraged together, results follow.
We're here to answer all your questions.
